El Salvador

When people ask me which missions trip was my favorite, I always say El Salvador. This was my first missions trip, right after I graduated from high school & it was the first moment I saw all of my passions coming together for the kingdom of God. I remember thinking to myself as I struggled to fall asleep at night, "I could do this for the rest of my life." Sure enough, I have not stopped since, and my passion for building the kingdom of God has only grown more WILD.

This trip was your classic high school missions trip. We performed dances and skits across elementary schools, as a means to present the gospel. By nature, it was not one of the most extravagant or supernatural experiences I have had. Yet, it is the reason I believe so strongly about short term missions. I spent one week dressed up as a clown, singing Cuanto Nos Ama (How He Loves) to little girls, because it was the only Spanish I knew,-- and I have now committed years of my life to reaching unreached people groups around the world.  If you have yet to go on a missions trip, let this be a nudge to GO! Maybe you won't commit to longterm missions, but I know that God will burden you with a greater love for His people.
