This trip to Peru was a part of a massive missions movement out of Missions.Me 1Nation1Day, with a desire to reach an entire nation in one day. Teams were spread out in various regions of the country, each with a different focus (education, medical services, sports, unreached along the Amazon).

 

I attended along with a large group from my home church, The Rock of Gainesville. We took over the city of Piura, and I was a part of the education track. We would go to anywhere from 3-5 schools a day, ranging from preschool to high school and would put on dances, dramas, gospel presentations & then pray with the students.

 

The week ended with a giant event that took place on the SAME DAY across cities in Peru. Every people group reached that week was invited to watch one of Peru's largest soccer games followed by our event. This was the moment the Gospel was preached to the masses and we were able to pray with people as they committed their lives to Christ. This trip was a fresh reminder that we are only a small part of God's story and the work He's doing around the world.
